Pragmatic Research Into Chronic Pulmonary Diseases
The Pulmonary Trials Cooperative brings together research protocol leaders, clinical centers, and research participants to develop new treatments and test existing clinical management strategies
The Pulmonary Trials Cooperative (PTC) was established by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to facilitate efficient “real world” research into chronic lung disease like interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, COPD, sarcoidosis, and obstructive sleep apnea. The PTC includes researchers from over fifty universities, hospitals, clinics, and other research institutions.
These health care professionals all have the common goal of developing new treatments and testing current treatment strategies for these diseases. We welcome new partners in the Cooperative, especially those interested in participating in our current research.
Start Working With the PTC
The PTC is currently looking for volunteers for four research studies. People with COPD or IPF are invited to participate.
